I have followed AI development with great intensity since 2018, and full-time since 2022. My background spans physics, science journalism, mathematics, teacher education, and web development. This breadth allows me to explain complex technology in ways that are relevant and accessible, regardless of whether you are a school leader, policymaker, or executive.
From 2023 to 2024, I led the Swedish National Agency for Education's AI team, where I briefed thousands of teachers and represented the agency to government and media. In September 2024, I founded Falk AI to bring this work to a broader audience.
I am genuinely invested in ensuring that AI development goes well – for society, for institutions, and for us as individuals. I have no affiliation with any AI company, which gives me the freedom to say what I actually think.
I am particularly interested in the societal consequences of AI: its impact on labor markets, education, democracy, global power dynamics, and the broader risks it poses. My focus is on helping people and organizations navigate a period of rapid, hard-to-predict change.
